I don't think he cared much. The old L24s were built like tanks and most are yarded out of the Zs in favor of an L28E or ET anyway. I would be more suprised to see one start without smoke considering how poorly the carbs work on most of them and how questionably serviced they have been over the last 40+ years lol.
